Course Page Explained

Starting Spring 2026, Course Capture has return to an opt-in model. This means instructors must take action to opt in their courses in order for these courses to be scheduled for recording. All instructors teaching in a Course Capture eligible room will be emailed at least 2 weeks prior to instruction starts. For courses with mutliple instructors, all instructors must opt-in.

Instructors can view and change their Course Capture settings by logging in from the Course Capture website. Any changes only affects future recordings and It can take up to 2 hours for changes to take effect, so please plan ahead.

This section is informational only. This will show you who is listed as the instructor for the course. For courses with mutliple instructors, this list will tell you which instructor has not yet opted in.

Collaborators

Collaborators are given co-editing and co-publishing privileges to Course Capture recordings. Users with the Admin Proxy (APRX) role in SIS Campus Solution are automatically given collaborator status, but instructors are able to remove them within their Course Capture setting. APRX roles are typically given to GSIs or staff coordinators, but your department may follow different practices.

Recording Type

Most rooms are limited to the "Camera without Operator" setting. Audio-only recording is not available. For those looking for a Projector+Audio only option,  cameras can be blocked using the touch panel in the room(link is external)
