Equipment Recommendations

We have recommendations for departments who desire to equip a room with a lower cost AV solution and minimal installation in support of synchronous and mixed learning modes. These recommendations can generally be moved between different rooms and are intended to be shared resources. This page will regularly be updated as RTL receives and tests new equipment.

Check-out Kits for Instructors

Our Instructional Equipment Checkout catalog includes check-out kits for instructors to support various modes of instruction. Please visit our Instructional Equipment Checkout service page for more details.

Third Party Vendors

Through a competitive RFP process completed in 2019, the UC system's Procurement team has established systemwide contract agreements with four vendors. These agreements include audio and visual products, with associated professional services, available at a discount to all UC locations and projects that serve as options for departmental spaces AV design and installation.

Our team has direct experience with Key Code Media and One Diversified. We are happy to share our experiences with these two vendors with our UC colleagues upon request.

For Zoom Room specific installations, Zoom Professional Services is also an option that we have experience with. The UC Berkeley sales representative is George Mourgos (george.mourgos@zoom.us).

Please contact classroomav@berkeley.edu if you have any questions.
