Getting Started for Students
1. Activate your account in PrairieTest by logging in
When: After course staff has announced PrairieTest is set up

Login with CalNet (not Google) at us.prairietest.com

Accept invitation to join the course

Course staff will then complete the PT configuration
2. Duo Authentication set up
When: Before your first scheduled exam
- You are required to bring a device associated with your Duo Mobile account so that you can authenticate when signing into us.prairietest.com on our computers.
- Please ensure that you have registered your device for Duo authentication. If you have not, please follow the Duo Authentication set up
- Download the Duo Mobile app and ensure that it’s connected to your CalNet.
- If the push to text authentication doesn’t work. You’ll need to generate a code through the Duo Mobile app.
3. Make a Reservation
When: After the course staff has announced that reservations are open for a given quiz

To see your exam reservations or make new reservations, log in to PrairieTest
You are able to change and delete reservations up to 10 minutes before your scheduled exam. If you miss a reservation, you will need to email cbt-help@berkeley.edu, ask your course staff, or visit a CBTF lab to have your missed reservation deleted before you will be able to make a new reservation.
Making Reservations
After logging into PrairieTest, click the green "Make a reservation" button under the "Exams available for reservations". After clicking this button you will see all of the available reservations times during your exam window. Click the green "Reserve this session" to register for an exam.

Changing and Deleting Reservations
To change or delete a reservation, click on your existing reservation in PrairieTest and click the green "Change or delete this reservation" button.

4. Arrive to your scheduled CBTF location
When: Arrive 10 minutes before your reservation

Bring your Cal ID and your mobile device for Duo Authentication

Check in at the front desk by showing your Cal ID (Please be quiet since other tests may be ongoing)
- The Proctor will verify and assign a seat number
- Place your belongings in the desginated cabinet, but hold on to your phone (duo authentication)

Go to your assigned seat and sign in using credentials posted in the room
- Your phones must be silent/off and placed back in the CBTF phone holder

Click the PrairieTest shortcut in the upper left corner of the desktop

Login with CalNet (not Google) and click on your exam
5. Take the Exam

No personal belongings on desk (closed water bottle is okay)

No personal devices or headphones
-
No scratch paper (CBTF / Proctors will provide)

No cheat sheets
-
No bathroom breaks for 50-minute quizzes
-
Proctors can’t answer questions about exam

Report any issues to a proctor in the room
- Make sure to save and submit your assessment after you are done
- It is important to save and submit your assessment by clicking on the "Assessment Overview" button available on each question page then clicking on the "Finish Assessment" button in the overview page
