Arts & Humanities Testing Center

Arts & Humanities Testing Center

Deadline for Students to Register: Monday, April 28, 2025

Welcome to the A&H Testing Center!

The A&H Testing Center is a pop-up pilot project in the Division of Arts & Humanities to provide additional capacity for proctoring final exams to support faculty and students. This project is sponsored by the Division of Arts & Humanities (A&H) and the Division of Undergraduate Education (VPUE) in partnership with the Disabled Students’ Program (DSP) and the Berkeley Language Center (BLC). The Division of Undergraduate Education is grateful to all the donors who have contributed to the Vice Provost’s discretionary fund, which supports this project.

This pilot is supplementary to the existing proctoring program at DSP. DSP determines what accommodations should be provided to students with disabilities, and academic departments and faculty members are primarily responsible for providing testing accommodations to students with disabilities. DSP’s existing proctoring center prioritizes proctoring students who require accommodations like 200%+ extended time, room alone, scribe, and use of a computer or assistive technology. Many students with 150% extended time and reduced distraction are accommodated within departments. As an additional resource for faculty members in the Arts & Humanities, we are now excited to provide the A&H Testing Center.

As a reminder, Spring semester finals will be held from Monday, May 12, 2025 through Friday, May 16, 2025 and RRR Week will take place from Monday, May 5, 2025 through Friday, May 9, 2025.

Eligibility

The A&H Testing Center is a pop-up pilot project to support final exam administration for students with testing accommodations who are taking courses in the Division of Arts & Humanities in the College of Letters & Science in Spring 2025. While we hope to expand this service in the future, for now, eligibility is restricted to instructors and students associated with courses offered by departments in the Division of Arts & Humanities. For any questions about who is currently eligible to use this service, please contact ahtesting@berkeley.edu.

Scheduling a Test

Students are responsible for submitting their own requests. If your course provides the option to take your exam with DSP accommodations you will be able register by going to bCourses and select A&H Testing Center for DSP on left navigation menu.
