Join us in this workshop for an introduction to bCourses (Canvas), Berkeley’s learning management system. This session is perfect for those new to bCourses or anyone looking to refresh their knowledge of its core functionalities, as well as learn about new features. You’ll be guided through the essential features of bCourses, including Pages, Modules, Assignments, and Announcements which are integral to organizing and managing your courses effectively. We'll also cover basic site setup and navigation.
This session will run for 45 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes reserved for questions.

Facilitators:
Catherine McChrystal (she/her) is the Learning Tools Team Lead and lead administrator for bCourses. In this role, she works to understand instructor needs to influence service improvement projects for supported academic technologies. She holds a master's degree in Educational Technology and is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Learning & Instruction. Prior to joining RTL, she served as an instructional designer at UC Berkeley and as the training program lead for the YouTube Policy team. |
