How to look for a room with Course Capture capabilities and features
- For Course Capture rooms with cameras, but without operators, search for 06: AV-Course Capture
- For Course Capture rooms with camera AND an option for an camera operator, it is only available in Wheeler Aud and Pimentel.
Recommendations on Instructor and GSIs role for SIS
For a Primary section, such as lecture, we recommend:
- Instructors be added in TNIC or TIC roles (they are required to opt in for Course Capture)
- GSIs be added as Admin Proxy role (they are NOT required to opt in, but will get edit/publish access to recordings)
For a Secondary section, such as discussions, we recommend:
- GSIs be added in the TNIC, TIC, or NTIC roles (they are required to opt in for Course Capture)
- Instructors: choose to not add them at all or add them as Admin Proxy role (they are NOT required to opt in, but will get edit/publish access to recordings)
Who are defined as Course Capture instructors
(requires opt in)
- Instructors are defined as users in the TNIC, TIC, or the NTIC role
- All primary and secondary courses should have at least one instructor (so the instructor can access the recording)
- If it is a secondary section, such as discussions, add the GSI as the instructor
- If it is a deCal, add the student instructor as official instructor
- Any courses with at least one instructor that has opted-out will not be recorded.
- Instructors can change their Course Capture settings at the Course Capture Home Page
- All instructors are given editing and publishing access to their Course Capture
Who are defined as Course Capture Admin Proxy
(no opt in require, gets edit/publish access)
- Admin Proxy are automatically added as collaborators to Course Capture recordings. Collaborators are given editing and publishing access.
- Instructors are able to add or remove collaborators on their own
- Collaborators cannot change Course Capture settings
