Be prepared for some minor changes to the Kaltura integration with bCourses as we have upgraded, largely for security reasons. More specifically, we have upgraded from LTI 1.1 to 1.3. To learn more, see "Why Platforms and Tools Should Adopt LTI 1.3".

In preparation for the Spring 2024 term, we will be making an updated Zoom-bCourses integration available to all instructors. The newer integration is actively supported by Zoom and receives regular feature improvements. Read about the new features

Research, Teaching, and Learning (RTL) will be operating on modified schedules for campus curtailment during the winter break, Monday, December 25 through Tuesday, January 2. Emails and requests received during this time will be answered when the campus reopens on January 3, 2024. The full curtailment schedule and further details are listed below.

Campus-supported academic tools are rigorously vetted for accessibility, privacy, and security but feedback from Berkeley’s instructional community is essential to determine a tool’s usability, effectiveness, and suitability. To accomplish this, RTL needs volunteers to participate in testing new tools throughout the academic year. Participants then also have the opportunity to influence the selection of tools that align with the teaching and learning needs of our campus.

An update to the Zoom to Kaltura integration made by Kaltura in early October benefits many Zoom users who have wanted colleagues (co-instructors, GSI’s,staff, etc) to be able to manage the recording files copied to Kaltura via the integration.
