Designing Quizzes for Academic Integrity (1/19)

January 19, 2022, 3:30pm to 4:30pm
Intended audience:
Academic Support Staff, Faculty, Graduate Student Instructors, Instructors

When implemented effectively, quizzes benefit both students and instructors. Quizzes help instructors gather evidence of student learning, which we can use to inform instructional changes while our courses are ongoing. Quizzes also help students to identify gaps in their learning and reflect on their own study patterns and practices. In this interactive workshop, participants will explore evidence-based strategies to help instructors design quizzes that scaffold students’ learning and mitigate academic dishonesty. Participants will also receive a demonstration of features in bCourses that can help prevent and deter students from violating course policies on academic integrity when taking a bCourses quiz.
