Build Your Gradebook in bCourses

Picture of Peter HeckelJoin this workshop to discover the ins and outs of setting up your Gradebook in bCourses. We'll guide you through weighting grades, dropping the lowest scores, and various other techniques to make sure Canvas calculates your grades exactly as you intend.

In this workshop, you will learn how to:

  • Create and manage Assignment Groups

  • Understand and apply grading rules that work for your class.

  • Create new Assignments and associated Gradebook columns

  • Understand and implement important Gradebook settings, such as Grade Posting Policy

  • Use SpeedGrader and Rubrics to grade assignments

  • Use Groups in Canvas to assign group assignments

This session will run for 30 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes reserved for questions. This session will be held via Zoom. Please register to get the Zoom link.
