Flextensions is an assignment extension management tool created by UC Berkeley students and faculty at Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) and is supported by Research, Teaching, and Learning. ] Instructors can link their bCourses assignments (and Gradescope assignments!) and enrollment onto the Flextensions platform and course staff can manage extension requests either manually or through an auto-approval system using two configurable rules: a maximum number of days per assignment and a maximum number of requests per student, per semester. When an extension is granted, Flextensions automatically updates the due date for that student in bCourses. Both students and course staff can easily track the status of all extension requests on the Flextensions platform, providing transparency and organization.
