Pronouns in bCourses Display Now Live
As part of the Gender Recognition and Lived Name Policy, as of January 8, 2026, pronouns now display for users in bCourses who have opted to share them. Pronouns are sourced from official campus systems of record (CalCentral and/or UC Path) and will automatically be updated in bCourses in the same way that lived names are synced.
If you opt to share them, pronouns in bCourses will display after your name in various areas of the site, including: Course Sections List, Discussions, Inbox, People page, User Profile page, and User Settings page. Pronouns in bCourses will not currently display in...
Kaltura in bCourses changes due to upgrade to LTI 1.3
Be prepared for some minor changes to the Kaltura integration with bCourses as we have upgraded, largely for security reasons. More specifically, we have upgraded from LTI 1.1 to 1.3. To learn more, see " Why Platforms and Tools Should Adopt LTI 1.3".
