Taking advantage of the unique and rich skill set of our staff, and our positioning within the Division of Undergraduate Education, we seek to ensure higher education continues to evolve in teaching practices and research opportunities that are inclusive, equitable, and accessible.
Advising Strategy + Training (AS+T)
As the central resource for the advising and student services community at Berkeley, the AS+T program offers Advancing Practice workshops, the Advising Fellows Program, the Excellence in Advising Awards, and more.
Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL)
CTL partners with campus educators to inspire, enrich, and innovate Berkeley's collective teaching and learning community. Offerings are available to any members of the Berkeley community interested in developing and enhancing their skill set.
Classroom Design + Engineering (D+E)
D&E provides planning, design, installation, and maintenance support for technology in the General Assignment classrooms on campus. The Design and Engineering team also maintains a set of technology standards it uses in deploying AV/IT in the general assignment classrooms.
Classroom Technology Support (CTS)
CTS provides service management and support to classroom technology to enhance the academic mission including the Classroom Technology Support Helpdesk, Instructional Equipment Checkout, Specialized Auditorium Support, Active Learning Classroom Support, and Instructional Computing Classrooms.
DevOps + QA
We create online tools and technology services for students, staff, and faculty projects.
Digital Learning Services (DLS)
DLS provides course design services and consultations to Berkeley instructors in support of their pursuit of effective teaching and learning using digital tools in face-to-face, blended and fully online courses.
RTL’s immediate office provides leadership and support for RTL organizational development including DEIB, staff and team growth, and implementation of campus initiatives. In addition this team coordinates daily business and financial management, employee relations, communications, and strategic initiatives.
KALX FM broadcasts freeform radio to the SF Bay Area at 90.7 FM and to the world on the internet. KALX provides students with experiential learning, leadership and discovery opportunities, and the ability to produce and broadcast high-quality, creative and diverse programming not heard elsewhere on the radio.
Learning Environments + Tools (LET)
LET provides service management, support and consultations for teaching and learning technologies, including the learning management system (bCourses), course capture, video management, online discussions and polling tools, course evaluations, and academic integrity and accessibility software.
Research IT provides research computing and data technologies, consulting, and community for the UC Berkeley campus. Our goal is to advance research through IT innovation.
