bCourses Basics for Instructors

Join us in this workshop for an introduction to bCourses (Canvas), Berkeley’s learning management system. This session is perfect for those new to bCourses or anyone looking to refresh their knowledge of its core functionalities, as well as learn about new features. 

You’ll be guided through the essential features of bCourses, including Pages, Modules, Assignments, as well as basic site setup and navigation to help you effectively organize and manage your courses.

This session will run for 45 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes reserved for questions.

Peter Heckel assists instructors with academic technologies such as bCourses, iClicker Cloud, and Poll Everywhere, and implements initiatives and programs to make sure instructional tools are meeting faculty needs. Prior to working for Research, Teaching, and Learning (RTL), Peter taught for 14 years in Oakland public schools.
