Location: This is an online event. Register to receive the Zoom link and calendar invitation.
Intended Audience: Faculty, Instructors, Graduate Student Instructors, Academic Support Staff
Slide decks are among the most widely shared course materials and among the most consistently inaccessible. Most slide accessibility problems stem from a single root cause: instructors build slides by manually placing text and images rather than using built-in layouts, resulting in an arbitrary reading order that screen readers cannot navigate. This session addresses that root cause and other common issues such as alt text, color contrast, titles, and export settings to convert to PDF.
This session will run for 45 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes reserved for questions.
