Intended Audience: Faculty, Instructors, Graduate Student Instructors, Academic Support Staff
This workshop introduces UC Berkeley faculty and graduate student instructors to the fundamentals of using Student Response Systems (SRS) to increase classroom engagement and gather real-time feedback on student learning. Featuring iClicker and Poll Everywhere, the session focuses on practical, classroom-ready use cases, including:

Course setup and roster sync

Conducting live polls

PowerPoint and Google Slides integration
- Grade Sync to bCourses
Instructors will leave with a clear understanding of both the pedagogical value and technical workflows needed to confidently use polling tools in their courses.
This session will run for 50 minutes, with an additional 30 minutes reserved for questions. Feel free to bring your questions (including about PPT and Google Slides integration and inclusion!)

Lisha Bornilla (she/her) is the Learning Tools Service Lead for student response systems at Berkeley’s Research, Teaching, and Learning division. She holds a Master of Education in Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology from Harvard, with prior experience spanning multiple industries in tech consulting, eCommerce, and telco before pivoting full time to education. She specializes in designing pedagogical frameworks for technology-driven learning experiences. |
