In the second workshop of the three-part RTL series amplifying the Finding Space podcast (Episodes 4–6), participants will engage with themes from Episode 5. Lead Culture from Where You Are: Cultivating Collective Care, which explores how leadership, collective care, and disability justice intersect across roles and responsibilities at UC Berkeley. Joined by Carmen Varela, Executive Director of the Disabled Students’ Program (DSP), this session will invite reflection on how campus culture is shaped not only by policy, but by everyday decisions, values, and relationships.
This workshop builds on the accompanying 25-35 minute podcast episode featuring Marisella Rodriguez, Carmen Varela, and Chancellor Rich Lyons, highlighting key insights and offering space to consider how individuals—regardless of role—can contribute to cultivating collective care and advancing disability justice on campus.
